2019 has arrived
Another new year has rolled in! Hope that everyone enjoys their New Year's Day.

I'm watching the Rose Parade on TV....anyone who spent the night on the parade route last night was prepared to bundle up, especially with the current Santa Ana winds. Happy New Year!

It's an amazing sight, isn't it? I love the marching bands.

All my best wishes to my DOL buds.

Netflix is blurring the lines between movies and TV. We watched "Roma." Pretty good. Develops slowly but beautifully developed. Also have watched the series "Kaminsky Method," "The End of the F***ing" World," and "Barry." All funny. Kaminsky is especially good for those of us of a certain age.

Re: 2019 has arrived
We had a memorial for my mom last weekend. She had stated that she didn’t want a service, but we wanted to do something for us. It ended up to be very comforting, with some of her former neighbors and our friends there. And a real tribute to her.

My ex had wanted to come, which I was conflicted about since he has not seen my siblings, friends, or other relatives since the divorce, back in 2004. He's actually a lot like my mother, and I didn’t want any "Old Home Week" stuff going on. I asked him to come toward the end, when I figured that there would be mostly only close family members there. He did, and it went all right.

I'm glad that it worked out.
