Re: At an *elementary* school???
That was pretty close to home, 2nd. About 20 miles from here. They're still looking for the shooters family, they're missing last I heard.

Re: At an *elementary* school???
There is a 6 year old boy fighting for his life after yesterday. School staff saved many by locking down asap when they heard shots.

This guy should not have had guns, he had a felony assault this year.

I thought about you, ghead; I didn't know it was that close to you, though.

The revenge/vendetta motive. Mental illness. Taking guns across state lines. Poor or no background checks. The whole thing is just depressing as hell.

Re: At an *elementary* school???
It's so unreal to watch people I know have a press conference about a shooting rampage.

They found the shooters wife, dead. The 6 year old is critical but stable.

We talked this morning that hearing those shots, we may have thought nothing about it. We hear gunshots daily. However, in our area we've had 2 major law enforcement response events in the last month, one involving an " active shooter". I've discussed a meeting with neighbors to put together a plan for mutual aid since we are so remote and everyone has guns...

I know I've been a proponent of guns here, my outlook is evolving.

These shootings are happening awfully close together.

Re: At an *elementary* school???
One mass shooting a day in America.

My last contract was in a rural area of Wisconsin. Every day I would hear "Bang, bang, bang" from the farm fields near the plant. I would see the guys getting out of there pick up trucks and head into the fields. Guns are part of the American psyche. Nothing is going to end that.

However, I have to wonder how that includes bump stocks and 30 round clips.
