It's a rather lively striped pony, Rockie, and knows a whole bunch of tricks.
But how in the heck did you find out there are 93 registered users? And why aren't more of them posting?

Same place you can see what users are online and what they are doing within divorceonline at any given moment!

mc, Go to the main page for HS/SS. Scan down. There's a little box down there with the info.
Guess even this old pony has more than one trick left. LOL! Lately I can't seem to find my own front door, but I found the little box on HS/SS.

The 93 does not surprise me; for years many of us have known that there were more watching than the minority of us who actually post. IIRC, admin disclosed that fact many years ago.
Anyway, all the more reason to give it our best here....it gets people to thinkin' sometimes. OR, laughing--and how important is that when relationships go dark?

If you look, it also tells you how many members are currently online and how many guests are viewing. Typically, there are more guests vieiwng the site than members. Though your actual results may vary.
It does beg the question, though... is lurking a non-contact sport?

I for one have been lurking on DOL for several years. I don't post because I have not taken the steps actually start my divorce (call me a chicken)and I don't want to be plagued with the reputation of someone who knows what they have to do but does not heed the advice given.
Maybe someone could start a "Roll Call" and encourage the other lurkers to post a brief intro. I would do it, but there is that troll issue.

Welcome whereami. Look at it this way: you're gonna hear some things you don't like, don't agree with or are just plain wrong. Don't let that keep you from telling your story and getting the support and guidance that you'll also find in abundance here.

whereami, post away! I lurked here for a few years, and posted for several, before I decided NOT to pursue a divorce. They let me stick around anyway :-)
Maybe we can help. At the very least, you might have a good recipe or joke to share.

Thanks for the welcome Theo and Ghead. I have been lurking long enough to know what a great site this is and I am going to start posting a little bit. I am hoping to move ahead with a divorce in the next few weeks, so even though I think I know everything (from all my time here) I am sure I will need some support and advice.

I often don't sign in and just read. I used to just "guest" b/c it kept me on DOL lite, but I still got my "fix". Then I viewed as a guest b/c it kept me from responding to posts that just aggravated me. And I'm currently active, b/c I'm quite enthralled by the new format!
I'll probably go back to lurking around the fringes, with occasional posts when I think I have something important to add. Just some thoughts on why people might be just visiting w/out logging in.

I started "guesting" about a year ago on the old site. It has sure enough kept me from putting my foot in my mouth sometimes. Or getting involved in a teapot tempest.

O thank goodness. I'd hate it if someone made his handle nolonger Unique. It would be so confusing to me.
